2013 Bertha Brock Fall Fest - Family Event

Bertha Brock Means Fall Fest Family Fun Time!
Seasons are changing and with that comes Ionia County’s annual Fall Fest, enabling everyone the opportunity to enjoy a family fun-filled day at the beautiful Ionia County Bertha Brock Park! This showcase of a park will be hosting this annual family friendly event, Saturday September 21st, from 10:00a.m – 4:00
p.m., which will feature things of interest for the young to the young at heart!
The Festival’s appealing combination of traditional craft demonstrations, musical entertainment, hands-on art activities and games for kids including pumpkin painting, the ever fun Bounce House, trolley rides, a petting zoo, horse drawn wagon rides, along with representations of what Ionia County has to offer, and all in a historical park setting, make this a favorite event for many Ionia County families.
Come see all that Ionia County has to offer in it’s one of a kind historical park and be prepared for a good time. Rain has not dampened the spirits of participants in past Fall Fests; Fall Fest will be held September 21st, 10:00a.m. – 4:00p.m., Rain or Shine, at Bertha Brock Park on M 21 – 2 miles west of Ionia. There is no admission fee for Fall Fest, with it also being handicap accessible, with a handicap restroom close to Palmer Lodge.

Welcoming Committee

Volunteers needed to help pass out maps and give directions at the welcoming booth. We are asking people to sign up for 1-2 hour shifts from 8am to 4pm.

Parking on the ball field can be a bit crazy! Volunteers needed to assist with directing cars to maintain rows and exits. Volunteers will also be needed to assist with traffic flow at high volume areas and designated trolley stops.

Face Painting Crew

Additional volunteers needed to help at the Pumpkin Painting & Face Painting booth. Sign up for a 1-2 hour shift between 10am to 4pm.

Booth Committee

Volunteers needed to visit each booth to take photos, pick up booth surveys and collect contact information. This will take 1-2 hours and should be done between 1-3pm.

Clean Up Crew

Volunteers needed to walk the park immediately following Fall Fest to pick up trash and return the park to its natural order. Beginning at 3pm, this won’t take long if a group of people work together.
Many other booths and organizations are using volunteers throughout the day! If you want to get involved, but not sure where you can fit in, please contact Penny at 616- 755-8050 or ioniakidsclub@gmail.com.
